The Tiny Champs and Lil Dragons for children aged 3-6 did 100 kicks, Juniors aged 7-12 did 200 kicks, and the adults did 500 kicks.

A special mention should be made to Jack Jones, nine, Callum Gilbertson, 10, and Max Greenwood, seven, who after doing their 200 kicks stayed on with the adults to do a further 500 kicks to make a grand total of 700 kicks.

A spokeswoman for the club said: "They were all sponsored to do this in order to raise money for us to buy new mats for the Centre so we can use the whole hall because at the moment we just have mats to cover half the hall.

"As each mat costs around £20 we asked each person to aim for £40 so they'd raise enough money for two mats each. Most people got this and some even raised about £150."
