Witnesses are being sought by detectives investigating a knifepoint robbery at an Armley shop.
The two robbers entered Lucky's Newsagents on Armley Ridge Road in Armley at about 10.30am on Tuesday, April 22.

They initially took some goods from a display but then they approached the counter apparently wearing balaclava masks.

Producing a knife, they threatened the 40-year-old shopkeeper before demanding cash from him.

A small amount of money was then handed over to the raiders who fled from the shop, leaving the owner uninjured but shaken.

Today police appealed for anyone who had witnessed the incident or anyone with useful information to ring North West Leeds CID on 0113 2413459.

Two men aged 28 and 21 were later arrested by police in connection with the offence.
