Wortley Today: "Since basing the club 13 years ago at The Barry Jackson Ground, the club now boasts six senior men's teams; two playing in the CYL League, three in the Dales Council League and a newly formed Development team in the Wakefield & District "Sunday" League. Five junior age teams ranging from Under 9's to Under 17's which play in the Heavy Woollen District Junior League along with the newly amalgamated New Farnley Leeds Ladies cricket team who play in the Northern Premier Women's League."
Mr Baldwin added: "Cricket Club's like New Farnley now need to be run just like any other business and Clubmark is the first major step in helping the club to now push even further forward with the many proposed idea's for expanding and developing the club facilities, to try and accommodate the ever increasing number of players wanting to play at the club in not just men's cricket but also Junior, Girls and Ladies cricket.
"The club also supports four football teams who use the ground and facilities during the winter months, so as you can imagine with only two changing rooms within the clubhouse, the ground and facilities are in much need of further development."
